Statement from Archbishop Marcel Damphousse of the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall on the discovery of the remains of 215 children at the former Indian Residential School in Kamloops, British Columbia:

For the repose of the souls of the 215 deceased children found at the former residential school in Kamloops, for the consolation of their families and for all whose lives were affected by the residential school system across Canada, we pray to the Lord.
